1995 Softail Nostalgia

This bike started as a bone stock 1995 Softail nostalgia. Both of the fenders were modified for a longer look. To highlight the new fenders completely hand made one piece fender trim was made for both fenders to keep the stock appearance but with a little twist. I hand made a new set of pipes from straight tube and u bends complete with heat shields drilled to match the rest of the bike. The bulky factory dash was removed and I hand made a new sheet metal one along with a new filler panel to complete it. A new custom made shifter linkage with some modified arms was then set in place. The tail light is a 50 Pontiac, that a custom mount had been made for it as well.

I also made up a custom belt gaurd, and modified the horn and coul covers to match one of our drilled air cleaned covers.  Once all of the fab was done parts were sent off to the chromer as well as custom paint and grafix to mimic an early Harley emblem that was done by Greedy Fly Grafix. All of the body work and base coat by Stockdale’s Hot Rod paint.  All and all a very classy look.

Rigid Sporty

For those who have been cost conscious the sporty has almost always been a great option.  When building a custom bike these days one of the most cost-effective ways to go is purchasing a complete stock bike and using all of th drivetrain, wheels, brakes forks electronics and so on and put it all in a new rigid chassis with some new sheet metal.  You cant beat the initial cost of picking up a late model sporty along with their great reliability over an earlier big twin.  Just keep in mind that when you go to sell it, it will not be worth nearly what a big twin is either though.  But if you aren’t planning on flipping it and want to get on the road it is a good choice.  This bike was built once but after a mishap on the road it needed to be revamped again.  This time he wanted that 70′s look  super skinny yet very tall with a big sissy bar and large upswept pipes.  I made the pipes, sissy bar, handlebars, mounted and modified the tank, and oil tank.

The oil tank is one of our F’ Bomb Kits  http://www.bungking.com/tanks/oil-tanks.html

Triumph Tiger

This is a bike owned by a good friend of the shop, not sure of the year exactly but it started it’s life in his hands as a retired flat track bike with no brakes other than the kill switch on the handlebars and welded struts in place of the shocks bolted to the factory swingarm.  I made him up one of our triumph bolt on hard tails, back when I was producing them, with a 4″ stretch in length.  He produced his own pipes and modified the factory chassis.  I gave him parts for one of our 6″ pipe bomb oil tank kits and he added some of his own style to it with some pieces of flat stock.  He always loved the Fox suspension seat I had on display so I got him set up with one of those as well.  When it came to controls he got a little held up so he brought it down to the shop to have me make some up.  I used some of my Knurled Aluminum Foot Pegs, a bronze pivot bushing, some of our PM pivots along with some other raw materials to make up these mid controls.  I also made him up a seat pan to work with the Fox set up and got it all welded up and dialed in for him.  Cant wait to see what else he comes up with, it’s great sometimes to collaborate on projects it keeps the mind moving.

Vic’s Shovel

Another full custom shovel for our buddy Victor of Sinners Inc.  This bike came to me bare bones and we made all sorts of custom parts for him, all new sheetmetal, scratch built controls, handmade exhaust and motormounts.  He had a bunch of the parts nickel plated instead of chrome to give all the shiny parts that little bit of a gold tinge to go along with the color of the sheetmetal.  The bike was featured in the Ironhorse magazine just before it was sold off to a new good home.

Lupe’s lil Evo

This is Lupe’s evo, this bike started from scratch with an aftermarket frame and a HD crate evo,  we adapted a bunch of sheetmetal to fit his needs and custom made an exhaust, forward controls, added a custom version of our Fox Shox suspension seat and a few other custom touches.  Was built to be a reliable around town little scoot

Dave’s Deuce Coupe

This car drove into our shop under it’s own power however the customer wanted to do a complete revamp to the car.  We started by stripping it down to prep it for a 3″ chop.  The roof was chopped and a new roof  filler pannel from Walden’s was welded in place.  After making sure all the gaps were as perfect as we could get them it was off to Stockdale’s Hot Rod Paint for a new coat.  All new motor and trans was installed along with a new hood and sides.  Interior was done by Sid Chavers.  All and all a great looking little Deuce Coupe

This was one of the bikes that we started our new Dyna product line on back in 07 when the new model change came out.  SHown installed on this bike is our 49mm quarter fairing adapter brackets, our 2 5/8″ Dyna tank lift, and our 12″ gusseted T-bars with a low speedo mount welded in place.  We also powdercoated a bunch of parts, shortened a Thunderheader a few inches and repainted all of the sheetmetal a custom mix.  ALso shown is one of air cleaner covers in a polished version.

This bike was built completely from scratch using all new drivetrain parts and chassis back in the hayday when big dollar bikes were the norm.  After owning and riding the bike for a few years he came back to me to change a few things.  We added some new BMX inspired handlebars, a new seat pan to one of original shock seats, and a new shifter.  All was ment to make the bike more comfortable to ride so he could enjoy all that money that was rapped up into it.  Soon after all the parts came back from chrome and got bolted on the bike made a few thousand mile trip down to mexico and through the El Diablo run.

Joe’s Panhead

This bike started it’s life as a 1965 panhead the first year of the electric start and last of the Pan.  We put in an earlier rigid chassis and went to town making custom just about everything.  All the parts shown unpainted or in raw form were made or modified at the shop.  All in all this made for great fitment of all of the parts with proper clearances everywhere so there would be no risc of chipping paint once it was assembled.  The oil tank is one of our 5″ pipe bomb kits with a battery box added to it, and one of our sporty tanks with a little bit different bottom installed.

Gary’s CFL

This started as a standard CFL chassis.  I dropped the neck down 2″ and brought the rake down to 28 degrees to help fit a stock length springer orginally with a 21″ wheel and now a 23″ one.  This gave the bike a much different look than any other CFL out there but we retained the factory gusset to keep it looking like it was never modified.  Soon after the chassis was done we added some custom sheetmetal touches and custom paint by Stockdale’s Hot Rod paint.  A fox shock was added to the front end to help with the pogo acttion seen when no front shock is used with a springer.
